Here it is Saturday evening and VSCCA's Fall Finale is history!
"What good fun!!" to quote Jeff "Two wheels are enough for me" Jacobson.
Both Friday and today were blessed with better weather than forecast and a
host of super people showed up.
We all thank the SCCA corner workers who did another fantastic job of
keeping us safe, Tivvy Shenton and his tech crew did a great job, and
everyone who helped make it such a great finale!
Just one question, where have all the prewar cars gone...a full third of
the final prewar grid was made up of Morgan trikes (Not that that's a bad
thing...), but we were hoping for at least one Amilcar for competition!
The best racing of the weekend, to our mind, was the over 2 liter class
with Tivvy's
XK-140, Bob Girvin's Allard GT coupe, the LeMans winning D-Type, and the V-8
Special of...oh, crud, can someone help me, I've had a brain cramp.
Just a great way to end the millenium in the Northeast!
Cheers,
Jim Nichol
