<< We use Castrol Girling GT LMA brake fluid with great success. Its cost is
much more reasonable than the AP 550 and it has less of a propensity to
absorbe water so doesn't have to be flushed quite as often. We change it
every 2'nd event or so as oppossed to the recommended after every session
that is recommended with the AP fluid.

I have to agree with Greg's comments. I used AP550 for a while but found it
needed to be changed more often than LMA because of moisture and also seemed
to be harder on some seals. LMA has worked well in the various club &
vintage cars I've run and really seems to be as fade resistant in most cases
as AP550. I never failed the brakes in the Swedish piggy (pro-rally mule,
since retired) using LMA and had people report they could see the rotors glow
thru the wheels at a stage on one event. Change the fluid often and spend
the extra money on good pads/linings.

Cheers,

Ken Payne
