Seriously, this is the first time I've ever heard of a club rule (in North
America) that didn't allow welded diff's, but I can certainly imagine that a
club that wanted to emphasise a more "street" type of preparation compared
to "race" would have such a rule. I think that the guys in New Zealand have
to run almost full street cars, and they might not be able to weld the
diff's either.
