I've been working on a digest version of this list, which gathers up the
individual messages into one larger message. If you prefer this format
to the "real time" version version, then send mail to majordomo@autox.team.net
with nothing in the body but:
unsubscribe vintage-race
subscribe vintage-race-digest
Or try the web based interface at
http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majordomo
The info file for vintage-race-digest is included below for your perusual.
This is what you get mailed to you when you subscribe or send majordomo the
'info vintage-race-digest' command.

----
This is the info message for the vintage-race-digest@autox.team.net list.
It is a digest version of the vintage-race email list.
Send your mail for the entire list to
vintage-race@autox.team.net
To unsubscribe from vintage-race-digest, send email to
majordomo@autox.team.net
with nothing in the message body except
unsubscribe vintage-race-digest
This will unsubscribe the account from which you send the message.
If you are subscribed with some other address, you'll have to send
a command of the following form instead:
unsubscribe vintage-race-digest other-address@your_site.your_net
When you send some other request which majordomo doesn't understand to
the majordomo@autox.team.net address, it may take days, maybe even a week
or so before a human gets around to reading it and actually acting upon it.
A web based majordomo interface is currently being evaluated, try out

Some things to note:
--------------------
Like the other lists served from autox.team.net, this one, in both regular
and digest form, continue to exist through the volunteer efforts of the
list manager, Mark J. Bradakis, mjb@autox.team.net. The list manager retains
the right to make any and all changes to list content, membership and policies,
including dissolving the list, at any time as he sees fit.
The postings to this list are intended only for those on this list. Any
reproduction by any means without the express consent of the author is not
only rude and stupid, but prohibited.
Mail for the list gets sent to hundreds of people, traveling through many
hundreds, if not a thousand or more, computers. This may take days to
actually occur, as some sites still use once a day polling to transmit mail.
Given the current state of technology it is not improbable that one of those
links will exhibit some sort of problem. When you post a message, you may get
back error messages. This DOES NOT mean you need to resend it. What it does
mean is that everybody got it except for maybe one or two folks. Don't repost
things unless you are absolutely, positively sure it did not reach anyone on
the list.
Also remember that not everyone has the latest and greatest technology at
their fingertips. Keep your text limited to lines less than 80 characters
long. Turn off HTML formatting if you send mail out with a web-based mailer.
Turn off any of those Microsoft attachemnts as well, if you are using any
Microsoft products to send your mail. Folks with PCs may have trouble with
this, learn to drive your mailer or go away.
Try to keep the size of your submissions under control. Trim down included
text in your postings. Keep your signature short and to the point, not just
a lengthy pile of ego droppings.
Post writeups of events you attend, but don't get too long winded. Feel free
to ask about technical issues, parts and cars, either wanted or for sale. Do
NOT think that everybody on the list wants to have some nice big picture
dumped in their mailbox. If you want to send out pictures, programs or
anything more than a few paragraphs long, send a short note to the list
explaining what you have, what boxes it will run on, and how folks can get it
if they wish. Basically, just use commn sense and consideration for others
on the list every time you post.
