I think some people may also benefit from a litle more organisation at
the receiving end. I receive between 100 to 800 messages per day,
mostly work related. I organise my incoming mails such that the
important stuff, like customers placing orders, appear in my main
mailbox whilst others, such as the mails from this list, are treated as
newsgroups with threads, some of which I read and most of which are
scanned and ignored. My mail system automatically deletes unread mail
after a specified period. Surely I am not the only person in the workd
with access to this kind of email software?

Here, here. I have been wanting to respond to the flames for the last
few hours but have had to calm down first. Personal attacks tell me
more about the sender than they do about the person under attack.
