What a great idea! Brooklands is now hosting meetings again of course,
although only sprints. I guess full blown race meetings are very
unlikely given that the circuit is now surrounded by residential
housing. Worth visiting the site just to walk the old banking though.
With their usual respect for motor racing heritage the great British
planning authorities have allowed a shopping chain to build a
Supermarket right through part of the old banking! Lots of sections of
the old track still remain though and a section is being preserved as
part of the museum which is now being developed on the site.
