While we haven't adopted a real name, two incidents are worthy of note:
When Alfa left the US in 95, I did a run of t-shirts that said "CIAO",
except the "O" was the Alfa emblem (see
http://www.fotec.com/car_urls.htm for an exampl4e.) While I sold a
gross, I gave ton's away to magazine editors, friends, etc.
I took enough to the Jefferson 500 in 96 to outfit the crew. Everybody
wearing one was asked if we were the "official CIA Alfa Romeo Racing
Team"! Only near DC....
Last year, the t-shirts read: "Scuderia Storico Alfa Romeo" on the front
and our motto: "veni, vidi, veloce" on the back.
Someday, we'll adopt a name....
