Gigi Villoresi died at the age of 88 of a heart attack on Sunday morning, at
an old people's home in Maranello.
Gigi died in his sleep. His last reported wishes when he went to bed on
Saturday evening was to be ensure that he was going to be able to watch the
Belgian Grand Prix with his friends the following afternoon.
Let's raise a virtual toast to an incredible life! After all here was a man
who amongst a multitude of other driving achievements, won the 1951 Mille
Miglia in a Ferrari 340 and then went on to win the Acropolis Rally in 1958
driving a Lancia B20...
