We've been driving Sam, our '59 (Morris) Traveller (with the 1380
engine, 3.9 rear end, Datsun 5 speed and Midget disks) a fair amount
lately - Pat is using her as a daily driver, and we've taken a couple
of trips for race-flagging weekends, which was a big part of why we
bought her in the first place.

Everything is going well (she really doesn't want to go much faster
than 70mph in a headwind, though), except when we find ourselves faced
with an idiot driver who makes us stop quickly. The brakes are good,
but not confidence inspiring.

Even though we're running stock 14" wheels and 145-14 radial tires, it
seems impossible to lock up the wheels. I have to check the adjustment
of the rears again, and I may build up some stainless steel flex hoses,
but I fear that the realy problem lies elsewhere.

What's the *next* upgrade? I have this memory of a combination of GT6
disks and MGB calipers, but can't track it down... a different pad
material, perhaps (we're running stock, and I could certainly see going
to a semi-metallic or soft carbon-kevlar...)
