I got a glimpse of Heaven today. It was called the Coppersate 1000 but
when I die, thats what my heaven would look like. About 70 gorgeous
classics. There were the expected Vettes, Cobras, and Porches. Also
several Jag XKE's and XK120's and 150's but there was also a genuine
D-Type and an XKSS. Shelby was represented by several 427's and a couple
of 289's and a Daytona Coupe.
Some of the more unusual cars (like you see D-Types and Daytona Coupes
all the time) were a '24 Bugatti Type 35, a '62 Excaliber Hawk GT Coupe,
2 Allard K2's one of which was painted by Von Dutch in 1970. The oldest
car was a 1912 Oldsmobile Autocrat. Many Astons and Mercedes. One was a
300SL Gull Wing.
That was a few of the little bits I was priveleged to view today.
I have looked forward to today all year long and it was fantastic.
