Clark,

We racers of British tin always refer to them as "cheater Porsches". =
They're way too fast, and generally embarrass us greatly. The air cooled =
356'' have really benefited from the continuous development of the =
species, and we're kind of locked in a pre-war time warp as far as =
technology goes. We tease them, they whup us, that's about it.

I've got to know:  why are they called "cheater Porsches"?  I know this
comment is in jest, but what is its foundation?
