> "Flaps > up-balls out" Ahah, another good one to speculate on the meaning of balls-out. This would be a bomber reference, having the airplane trimmed out for combat, with the wing flaps up (would have been down for takeoff) and the ball turrets with machine guns, out in their combat positions.
