You may have better long-term success by refering to this as ftp.team.net-
the ftp server is currently on Triumph, and may move to a different
machine at some point, but ftp.team.net will continue to work.
I suppose posting the server primer might help those new to team.net:

README.TRI Rev. 6-16-95 RG
The Team.Net Automotive file and Web server and how to get there:
This file is posted to the list Lucas fashion- randomly, and is usually
newer than what's on the server, so save a copy!
There are several automotive mailing lists file archives hosted by
Autox.Team.Net. The archives contain lots of technical and other
automotive information, as well as list digests since 1991.
The file server is a machine where various archives and articles of
interest are stored. You may get copies via "anonymous FTP", and by
using a World Wide Web (WWW) client.
-----
Mailing lists: (Triumph's lists are run by majordomo, an
automatic mail server) To get information about subscribing to
a mailing list, send one of the following one word commands in
the body (not the subject line) of an email message to
"majordomo@autox.team.net":
help -to learn how to subscribe using majordomo
lists -to get a list of currently available mailing lists
-----
How to get stuff:
A) FTP
If your machine has an internet connection, and runs the file
transfer program FTP, you've got what you need. Read your local
manual/help on using FTP.
1) Run FTP on your local machine, opening a connection to
ftp.team.net (155.99.208.4)
2) Connect as user "anonymous", and use your name as the password.
3) You will be in the root ftp directory (/) You will have several
directories to chhose from.
4) You may list the files using FTP's dir or ls commands to see files.
5) Set the file type to binary using the binary or image command if
you're going to get something other than plain text files.
(Like GIF's, or programs)
6) Use get or mget to one or multiple files.
7) Exit with the bye or quit command when done.
-----
B) WWW
There is a WWW (World Wide Web) link to the anonymous FTP
archives on triumph.cs.utah.edu. This is currently
undergoing a lot of changes.
The URL is:
http://www.team.net/
There is an index of team.net webs at:
http://www.team.net/www/
and the British cars pages at:
http://www.team.net/sol/
WWW clients:
If you aren't familiar with WWW, it is pretty darn keen, with links
to graphics viewers and sound. There are several shareware and
commercial Web clinets available, such as Mosaic, Cello, NetScape,
etc.
There is a Windows Mosaic client available at:
ftp.cica.indiana.edu, and other Windows software sources.
A Windows client called Cello and available from
fatty.law.cornell.edu in /pub/LII/Cello.
If you have X you can use XMosaic. It is available from ftp.ncsa.
uiuc.edu/WEB/xmosaic
There is a Mac client for WWW called NCSA Mosaic. It is available at
ftp.tidbits.com in the /pub/tidbits/tisk/mactcp/www directory.
-----
C) WAIS (Currently Unavailable)
-----
D) E-Mail server (British-cars list only)
Can't run FTP? If you can send and receive mail, you may also retreive
archives via an E-Mail server run by TJ Higgins. There are many more
seperate
articles in the misc directory of this server than on Triumph.
To get instructions, send E-mail to:
Standard Internet Addressing: server@ingr.com
or
UUCP Addressing: ...!uunet!ingr!server
with /HELP in the body of the message. The server will then send you the
help file with further instructions. (To your From: or Reply-To: address).
The SOL files are in the drectory pub2/sol/misc, pub2/sol/pic, and
pub2/sol/digest.
