I bounced this off the TR list last week so now it's your turn, folks.

Several years back I converted my TR4's rear to a "Detroit Locker"
ratchet type rear end. Subsequently after several seasons of
autocrossing the input shaft and second gear went to hell. I'm not
sure but I think that the shock transmitted to the tranny from the
diff when it "hooked up" was the culprit.

Since I like what the "Locker" does for my autocrossing but, I
don't like what it does for my transmission, I have decided to look
for a clutch type posi. The Salisbury posi (a clutch type posi) was
optional equipment on the Triumph. If one could be found,it would run
on the high side of $1,000. That's well beyond MY budget. I've been
thinking about finding a non-Triumph rear-end with posi that I could
use instead. Ideally it should be the same size bolt and pattern
and similar gear ratio as what comes on the TR. If TR hubs could
be welded on the the donor rear, that would be optimum.

I would appreciate any suggestions, or advice you might pass on.

As we say hereabout... Thanks in advance.
