Thanks for the advice. It is interesting that yours differs somewhat from
Charley's, who recommended that the grease not touch anything involving
fluid. Thus I put none on the piston seal nor the piston, but I did smear
it on the inside of the piston dust cover, and as I finish, intend to put some
on the rear back plate rubber gasket as well. Following your recommendation
I will also put a blob on the shoe contact point.
Meanwhile, what about white brake grease? The Haynes manual says to put
it on mechanical movement points. Where are those points?
