Did 2500M have a OD ?

I just popped my motor and trans in to my 2500M (1973). Note that it is not
the stock trans but a TR6 motor.

Did these cars come with an over drive ? The reason I ask is that the rear
trans mounting plate is 2.5" to far back !!!!! If the trans had an over
drive this may be the reason...

Ideas ?
