The car used to use 165/80 x 15 tyres when new (as far as I know)
and they were Avon Turbspeeds.
I use 185/70x15 Colway Formula tyres which I find to be good but
tricky to
balance but then again the finned alloys were always tricky to
balance.
Are you wanting to do motorsport or just road use?
