Hello out there to the other TVR owners! I' m Bill
Sanford and I'm borrowing a friends computor too add
a delayed input on wheels. I race my 3000s in SCCA
Solo II (C stock until I went too fast and as of
1-1-99 V6 TVRs are in A stock) I had some wheels made
for my car in the stock size. Cost was 800+$,but the
wheels are 9 POUNDS! (originals weigh@17lbs)
Lightspeed is the style (sometimes seen in the back
of racing mags.) and the offset for stock is 1/4 inch
and in SCCA I'm allowed 1/4 change, so the wheel
are/would be zero offset, VERY UNUSUAL. (My wheels
had some prototype offset probs, but are okay-if you
want to know more, write "me") By the way, onto these
14x6 wheels I fit my 225/50-14 BFG R-1 auto-x tires.
The benefits? Quicker accelaration,much lighter
steering and reduced brake and tire wear.
I raced the car at the SCCA Solo II Nationals in
Kansas and finished 2nd in a right hand cast in a
class of 35+ drivers.
Hope my sucess will spur more TVR owners to prove
their worth on the track. If I can help, contact me
and I'll impart all my knowledge to you. (should take
about 60 seconds*).
