The legend I=E2=80=99d heard is that WD-40 was created to protect missile p=
arts
from condensation and corrosion when stored overnight outside during
fabrication in San Diego. Maybe the Atlas program?

Dunno how right or wrong that is, but I=E2=80=99ve never heard the Vietnam =
part.
