e oil seal housing that needs to be reused with new seal. Thoughts??<=

planning to remove the timing cover to replace the seal. I would replace th=
e timing chain and tensioner, they are not expensive.</p>=20

d seal has worn any kind of groove.</p>=20

ud in the middle that has to have a fiber washer and gasket sealer between =
the shoulder on the stud and the timing cover, otherwise oil will leak at t=
his spot.</p>=20

nce and that=E2=80=99s a good feeling.</p>=20

bsp; I had a 2 inch long thick bronze bushing that fits perfectly on my pul=
ley bolt and flush against the crank. That provided the strength to p=

k and probably adhered with years of crud. My guess is that=E2=80=99s what =
sticking. Some PB Blaster, and a few raps with a mallet (I use a deadblow) =
may persuade it. It=E2=80=99s difficult to use a puller since there=E2=80=
=99s nothing in the center to push against, unless you can find a short bol=
t to thread in where that large dog bolt was removed.</p>=20

<p class=3D"MsoNormal">Since you are in there, if there=E2=80=99s evide=
nce of oil leaking from the timing cover, it=E2=80=99s most likely from the=
seal between the cover and the pulley hub. But I can see how changing that=
seal would slide into even more work (hey there=E2=80=99s the timing chain=
, I should replace that=E2=80=A6) BTDT.</p>=20
