I don't know much about TR6. I installed a J type overdrive in a Stag. At
the back of the inside of the OD is a gear which rotates the Speedo drive.
This needs to match the odo meter.. On the stag I recall the gear inside is
a 6 start and the drive gear is an 18 tooth gear. Look at my blog. There is
a no. Stamped at the back of the OD. Very small. This tells you what gear
is in the OD.
