If you drill down a bit more, you find there are 6 Wix filters that
cross-reference to the 51516, including itself. Go tot eh Wix Filters
web site and look up the numbers to see all the different dimensions
available. The common feature is the thread size and the gasket (more
or less). The 51516, which is the Spitfire filter, is 4.8" tall by
2.9" in diameter. The 51515 is the same base (more or less), but 5.2"
tall and 3.6" diameter. The gaskets are 2.734" x 2.430" x 0.226" and
2.834" x 2.462" x 0.200" respectively.
tl:dr: All crossover filters are not the same as the old one you have
in your hand, and may not fit in the space you have between block and
steering column.
