I ran ATF in my '79 Mustang's Borg-Warner T5 back in the '80s. No problems.=
 I don't have the car , but I still have that gearbox stashed in my garage.=
  Maybe I'll put it in a TR some day.  The Stang was a 5.0 Cobra edition th=
at originally had a auto.  I got the T5 in 1983 from a Ford engineer in Det=
roit that raced Mustangs in SCCA showroom stock.=20

that could explain.   It sure what to do, don=E2=80=99t want o pull tranny =
as the original exhaust, cats etc still installed.
