A friend went to Cuba years ago and took a set of spark plugs.=C2=A0 He pr=
esented them to a cab driver and it brought him to tears he was so grateful=
.
Spark plugs are small, cheap and hard to improvise.

Subject: [TR] British Parts Common to a Number of Marques
Literati,
I have an opportunity to go to Cuba in the near future and have researched =
the British Car scene there and next to the Cadillacs and Buick Roadmasters=
left behind by the Mafia in 1959, and a bunch of Chevys, there are a few B=
ritish Sports Cars in Cuba. They don=E2=80=99t get the inflow of British pa=
rts that the American parts get so I=E2=80=99m thinking of taking a few int=
erchangeable parts amongst British cars such as tie rods, bearings, etc. th=
at they might make use of (along with some new baseballs for the kids).=20
I know they are very creative in making those cars still run but I thought =
a few harder to get parts, that you just can=E2=80=99t take off the washing=
machine, might be nice.=20
I=E2=80=99ve heard suspension/steering parts are sought after due to the po=
tholes ever present. So I have some Spitfire tie rods that might also fit M=
Gs and some other such parts that might be interchangeable.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Maybe U-joints? I do have to take clothes so n=
othing too heavy please.
Thanks
