What year did Canada switch from miles to Kilometres? Normal practice for ch=
anging legislation was for the new requirement to be built in to the car at l=
east one calendar year in advance. This did not necessarily apply to US Fede=
ral specs because they often were not confirmed until June of the previous m=
odel year. That said, when Sweden changed its rule of the road, cars with LH=
steer were being shipped at least three years before the change became effe=
ctive.
