IMO the issue isn't so much the wires, but that corny connector at the alte=
rnator=2E At 45 amps, it won't probably won't fail immediately, but will ge=
t hot in service=2E Eventually the copper oxidizes from the heat and you ge=
t a bad connection or even a fire=2E Doubling up means each quick connect o=
nly carries about half the current=2E
