There is an adjustable pressure relief valve on upper side of the oil filter housing. The correct pressure is 70 PSI at 2,000 RPM once the engine is fully warmed up. By the way I have found that the original spring usually will need replacing as it will have worn on one side for all those years of rubbing on the bore of the adjustment. It is easy to replace with the engine in situ. you just need a 13/16" socket and a flat head screwdriver. Edward Hamer Petaluma CA |
