Now that I am fully awake I can see in your second photo that although =
this looks like a TR4 the rear seat treatment is quite different from =
mine. For one thing there is a bottom cushion but more importantly the =
top bows fold down in front of the rear upholstery. On mine that rear =
upholstery detaches at the bottom, folds back over the boot, then the =
sticks get folded back and the upholstery covers them when folded back =
down.

=20

Also, when the sticks are stowed that 'knee' in the front should be =
pointing straight up.

=20

You may simply have a non-standard interior and you will have to figure =
out what looks best.

=20

=20

That second photo appears to be a pretty standard layout for an early =
TR4 with rear seat except that the hood sticks are folded incorrectly. =
If the rear seat cushion is lifted out, the bottom edge of the vertical =
rear piece can be lifted free (necessary for raising or stowing the top =
frame). With the side flaps of the hood stowage cover (the parts you are =
trying to attach) lifted up and outward toward the sides, the frame can =
be rotated forwarded. Rotate the top frame forward. Then, lift the rear =
vertical panel back over the boot. You should see similar dome type snap =
male pieces to which those straps attach. If the male snap fasteners are =
not there, you will need the same type of screw in fastener.

=20

To stow the top frame, lift the side pieces to the sides and out of the =
way; lift the rear vertical panel backwards over the boot; rotate the =
frame backwards and lock it in place. Place the side trim panels back =
inside and attach the straps shown in your second picture. Move the =
vertical panel back in place. There should be four grommets in the =
bottom edge that go over the four LTD studs on the rear parcel shelf. =
Put your rear seat back in place. The process is described and =
illustrated on page 51 of the TR4 Owner=E2=80=99s Handbook.

=20

As mentioned by someone earlier, I am not sure the screw shown in the =
first picture is necessarily the part you need. I think they are the =
male snaps with a screw (phillips head, I think) through the centre to =
hold it in place.

=20

If the verbal description is still confusing, contact me and I would be =
happy to explain further.
