I've always done them individually (loosen =C2=BC then tighten) in the
prescribed sequence -- but I cannot swear that is best.
Also (before doing anything else) I used a paint pen to mark the position
of each of the nuts (like a dot on the nut and the stud) so after
re-torqueing I could see how much additional movement I got on each one.
