I restored a 59 tr-3 which was in awful shape.=C2=A0 Close to salvage but i=
t did run.=C2=A0 I put in new floors, inner and outer sills, and new trunk =
floor.=C2=A0 Replaced pretty big chunks of rust from both front fenders, al=
l new brackets that held car to frame.=C2=A0 I did the steel replacement, a=
ll the bondo skim coat and primer.=C2=A0 Went through tranny.=C2=A0 Dis-ass=
embled engine and re-assembled after machine shop did they're thing.=C2=A0 =
Of course, all new interior and new tonneau, top, and top frame cover.=C2=
=A0 I did have friends do the final spray in BRG.I tried to keep track of m=
y hours and ended up with 1600 hours.=C2=A0 I added up all purchased parts =
and also included labor I paid to others (machining, chrome shop ect)Parts =
and labor came to around $15,500.=C2=A0 The final cost, depends on what I c=
hoose to pay myself!=C2=A0 If I'm worth $10 an hour then I have approx. $30=
,000 in my resto.=C2=A0 I'd like to forget about my labor and think I have =
a restored $15,000 tr-3.There were times of frustration for sure, but in ge=
neral it was one of the most satisfying things I've done in my life.
