I knew someone in the late 60=E2=80=99s, maybe 1970 or 71, who had an =
older chrysler/dodge run of the mill ugly car. they had a flat, and =
since I was a teenager on a bicycle, and I knew them, I stopped to help.
I could not for the life of me budge the lugnuts, until the lady =
suggested they were reversed. they were. only time I ever ran into =
that.
other than that, I will agree with Paul. =20

...can't say I ever remember any car with a combo of right and left =
handed threaded studs.
Wire wheels now that's a different story.=20
There is no rotation force on a lug nut that should be anything close to =
the frictional force of rim to lug.
So the idea of the threads AND nut spinning in one direction or the =
other should mean little if anything.
Now on wire wheels where rotational forces ARE acting directly against =
the 'nut' to wheel interface, yes they are handed.=20
