You're waxing poetic, Terry! As a fellow New Englander with snow still
remaining on the lawn, I can sympathize. I, however, have MUCH work to do
to get my '59 TR3A on the road. Not even sure where to begin. But I have
been ordering parts in anticipation of a complete rebuild, frame included.
Been waiting for semi-decent (read 'warm') weather to find it's way to the
Northeast before seriously digging in.....
As for your "bonnet squeak", those can be elusive to find. On my TR6, which
also had a bonnet squeak, it turned out to be the bonnet prop rod rubbing
against the prop-rod guide. A opened-up the slot in the guide, using a
Dremel tool and the squeak was gone. Sure don't miss that sound! Would that
all issues we had were that easy
to diagnose and fix....
