Thank you all for the help and suggestions. I am first going to try a =
macpherson strut spring compressor that I loaned from local parts shop =
first. That doesn=E2=80=99t work, off to the depot. Also, if anyone is =
in the central florida area and would like a free 62 TR4 frame and body =
tub. Come and get it soon. This car has seen some better days but it =
has some good sheet metal. I am stripping of most parts for spares for =
my 62. It has very very rusty floors and rockers and surface rust on =
all of the frame. The front engine area is very good as is the rear =
shelf and trunk area. I think this car was under water at some point and =
front part of frame has solid mud baked inside. =20

While I agree wholeheartedly with Bob's comment on threads, my "Home =

suspension rebuilds. Put a little oil on the threads and it will =

You can make one up from this pdf =
(http://tr6.danielsonfamily.org/Files/SpringCompressor.PDF) I always =
recommend getting ACME threaded rod and nuts from McMaster. The ACME =
thread is "stronger" than what's on a regular threaded rod. =20

Anyone know a good brand of coil spring compressor for TR4? I would =

big to fit inside coil spring.=20
