Thanks to everyone who replied to my question about generator arcing. My suspicion was that it was the brushes was correct. The brushes themselves looked great, but one of brushes was not sliding freely in its holder. Cleaned up the brush with steel wool and also cleanup the holders. Makes sense that the arcing was due to the gap between the brush and the commuter. Paul Brandsema 61 TR4 |
