Yep....sorry.....missed deleting my .sig line.  It's gone now.
 
Anyhow, I do
not know of any other solution to your bonnet problems.  I always thought it
would be neat to engineer a bonnet lifting solution with gas charged cylinders
like the back doors on SUV's.

GT6/Sitfire  Bonnet

All,
My GT6 bonnet is starting to show signs of  buckling
on the driver's side  
from, I'm sure, years of opening and  closing.  It is a
'72 MKIII.  Does 
anyone have a solution for  this problem besides to quit
opening it?
