True, the TR3A and TR3B models did come with rubber mats in the front
footwells (carpeting elsewhere). But for many years it probably was easier to
find an NOS TR2 metal tonneau cover or undershield as it was those mats.
Fortunately, they have been reproduced in recent years (the mats, not the
tonneaus or undershields :) ).
