 Ronnie, I'd hook up an oil pressure gauge at least temporarily, if only to 
confirm what I suspect: that your oil pressure light sender is dying. Check it 
closely, as it might even be weeping a bit. I just went through the same thing 
with my Herald 1200 (down to the Castrol 20W-50)!

My sports six, which has a gt6 engine. Recently the oil light has started 
coming 

on more frequently as it idles. The idle speed has not changed, it is full of 

fresh oil, Castrol 20-50. everything seems ok, just strange that the light has 

begun lighting all of a sudden.

 

any ideas asto why?
