Because you don't want to jump the DOT 3-5 / Silicone divide without major 
rehab of the system.  Flushing with compatible stuff is much easier and more 
sure.

I found out that there is silicone in the Stag, and I put a "SILICONE" Dymo 
label on the cap right away.
