Yes John,
We just removed the bearing caps and with a rolling motion were able to pull
the real of crank clear enough to change the seal.
ISTR that we only loosened, not completely removed, the front cap and that
gave enough to get the job done.

Is it possible to fit the new type rear TR seal with the crank and con rods
in place, as I have the engine out it seems opportune, but reluctant to
strip the whole engine down. I also have 3 sets of spare rear aluminum
housings I would be happy to donate to "the cause"
