That will be an original TR2-early TR3A starter, then, and the problem is
that the steel/rubber sleeve, Stanpart 501217, has failed.  TRF LUTLB160 or
Moss 549-580.

Or this might be a good time to consider one of the "high tech" starters.

Yet another option might be to see if Ken Gillanders at BFE would share the
design information for the "fail safe" sleeves he had made up many years
ago.  Instead of relying on the rubber/steel bond like the originals did,
Ken's version had internal 'paddles' with the rubber in compression between
the paddles.  But I got the last one and Ken said he had no plans to have
any more made, as they just weren't popular enough.
