Dear All,
Many thanks to those who wrote with suggestions. I have now tracked down the
necessary part, so all is well (until the next Acclaim owner needs one).
For those kind Americans who suggested that I get the parts made up "by my
local muffler shop" I'm sorry to say that this is no longer an option in UK, if
it ever was. You're more likely to find someone to fabricate a body panel
from sheet steel!
