Many years ago I had a very nice 1968 Plymouth Valiant for sale. One guy
came to see/drive it, saying his wife and daughter needed a car. The car
was perfect but had a three-speed column shift. The ladies did not drive
stick shifts. He left without the car but came back in a couple days and
bought it, saying, "They'll learn to shift." Don't know how that went over at
home but I had to give the guy credit for his courage.
