And if the cut out fails to open when the engine's shut down,and the
generator, acting as a motor, fails to turn the engine, the result is a dead
short across the battery. If you're lucky, the wire will melt, acting like a
fuse. If you're not, the resulting fire could burn your Triumph, garage and
house to the ground. So, either watch your ammeter each time you shut down
or park outside.
