It may not be "car-related".....I have something like that in my tool box  
and I think I bought it years ago for a plumbing job around the house.....could 
 
it be for a nut which is recessed behind a shower diverter valve (behind the  
bathtub)???  Any plumbers out there, feel free to comment:)
