I know it wouldn't stand up to MTBE; and I would guess that applies to
ethanol as well.
Should be easy enough to test, put some fresh gasoline in a Mason jar and
drop the diaphragm in. Screw the lid on and let it sit for a month. If
it's not compatible, you should be able to see the damage and/or color
leaching into the fuel.
