Not tried it myself, but I've been told it's a bad idea. Seems they tend to
crack in the same area where they tend to bend, so straightening may lead to
subsequent cracking. And having the wheel break loose from the hub doesn't
sound like fun at all!
Of course I probably heard that from a racer, and they pretty much agree
that stock wheels are too weak for racing anyway; so perhaps it's fine for a
car driven only on the street. But I didn't want to take the chance, so I
found some more used TR6 wheels for likely less than it would have cost to
have the old one straightened.
