| What I did was cut 3/8 wood strips the dimensions of the seat tracks and
installed the tracks through them to lift them up a little.? Then I just cut
out the carpet to fit around them.? Works fine.

Subject: [TR] Carpeting and seat tracks
Hello List,
A carpeting question: In a TR3A, do you mount the seat tracks over the
floor carpet, or do the tracks mount directly to the floor and stick up
through slots in the carpet.....or what? I can't tell by looking at my
car, thanks to the large family of mice that occupied it for several years.
Thanks as usual,
Steve Ball
