Alzheimer's is right up there with Lou Gehrig's as one of the very worst
diseases, only in Alzheimer's it's more a disease of the caregivers - they
are the ones who suffer most.

Andrew,
I have spent the last few weeks working closely with an elderly (86) year
old uncle, (whose parents and siblings all lived well into the 90's) .
He has dementia, paranoia, and is simply awful to deal with.
He makes me wonder why I ever quit r drinking and smoking!
