I can't comment on how your set up will work, but sweating joints is dead
easy. Just buy one of the brushes specially made to clean the end of the
pipe and the inside of the fittings. Smear it with flux, assemble the parts,
heat it with a propane torch, and touch solder to the joint. The solder will
magically flow into the joint and seal the parts together.
