Good advice.
I have found that if a hose rubs in particular place, I can put a very heavy
cable tie around the hose so the cable tie does the rubbing. The tie is quite
hard and smooth, and takes the abuse quite well. Larger areas can get covered
with the corrugated plastic stuff used for wire bundling in cars.
